Counting down the hours 'til I get back (54!)
I've been here in China for 2 months, seeing family and getting my together.
This past half year has been pretty subpar. The highlight of my senior year was rapping in my valedictorian speech.
As for college, I got accepted to 2 schools in-state, rejected by 3 Ivies, and waitlisted at WUSTL, Williams College, Brown, and UChicago.
Since I didn't pursue any waitlists, I chose to go to Miami University. It's hardly a change since most of my friends are coming here as well (we all live in town).
I feel like I've failed this year, but there's always graduate school--not sure what I want to do yet. And Miami is decent, all things considered.
All this has made me realize how important it is to network and make connections. So I plan to concentrate on that and study hard when I start school this fall.

Hope you're all doing well. I have some surprises to post up since I haven't stopped making art this last half year. It got me through the rough patches.
Much love,
-Ying
